Marc Jacobs Beauty's Great Exchange Initiative

Sephora Singapore members can now bring in an old or used mascara from any brand in exchange for a deluxe sample size of the new Marc Jacobs Beauty Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara. The highly anticipated mascara promises to give the instant 'faux lash look' with a velvetier volume. Only a total of 500 sample-sized Velvet Noir Mascaras will be available for the great exchange, so you better be early if you want to bag one! Head down to Sephora ION on 2 November (6-10 pm) and 3 November (2-6 pm) for the exchange.

South Korean women "Escape The Corset"

The birthplace of sheet masks, dewy skin look and the popular 10-step skincare routine, it's no secret that South Korea is a major powerhouse in the beauty industry. The local ladies are known to take their rigorous skincare and makeup routines very seriously. But these days, it seems that South Korean women are starting to feel like it's becoming more of a labour for them rather than self-care. Enter the "Escape the Corset" movement, where they expressed rebellion against their country's "narrow" beauty standards via social media posts featuring the trashing of expensive beauty items. How do you think this movement will affect the beauty community as a whole?

Zoff launches Winnie The Pooh and "I'm ANDY WARHOL" collection

Zoff, Japan's leading eyewear brand, launches two new exciting collections. First is the Winnie The Pooh collection that is inspired by Disney's Christopher Robin movie. The second is "I'm ANDY WARHOL" collection, which features a wide array of interesting and unique designs consisting of nine different shapes from three categories — "Silver Factory", "Silkscreen", and "Self-Portrait". UNIQLO to launch KAWS x SESAME STREET UT Collection

The second part of UNIQLO's KAWS x SESAME STREET UT Collection will finally be launched on 23 November as a follow-up to its successful first instalment released earlier this year. Volume two will include KAWS’s interpretation of five main characters — Elmo, Cookie Monster, Big Bird, Bert, and Ernie — as plush toys. So adorable!

Zendaya is Tommy Hilfiger's latest brand ambassador

Tommy Hilfiger announces Zendaya as the new global women's brand ambassador. She will appear in the brand’s global integrated campaign beginning in Spring 2019 and will also be co-designing the upcoming Tommy x Zendaya collaboration collection. Are you excited already?

UNIQLO x Alexander Wang

The much-awaited collection between UNIQLO and Alexander Wang on the brand's HEATTECH collection will soon hit stores. Starting 9 November, you can already get your hands on the collection that has colours ranging from Wang's classic black to neon green. The collection also uses neo-futuristic elements that are reminiscent of '80s fashion. Get a preview of the collection here.

Ghesquiere has teased the possibility of launching his own line during a guesting at the ongoing Met conversations. He said he still has lots of stories to tell through and for Louis Vuitton but that he's also open to more possibilities and that includes launching his own line.

A Peter Pan-inspired collection

Besame Cosmetics has announced the release of a secret collaboration with Disney for a Peter Pan-inspired collection. The collection will specifically revolve around Mermaid Lagoon, which got us holding our breath for green eyeshadow and sparkly lipstick. Both styles are not instantly associated with vintage-inspired Besame, though, so we're keeping our eyes peeled for the collection.

Clarks at ION Orchard

Get excited to set foot on the new, "pure" Clarks store at ION Orchard in Singapore. Speaking of the inspiration behind the branch which has classic leather buttonback seats on birch floors and neutral-coloured materials, Guillaume Nagy, President for SEA & Oceania at Clarks said, "The focus of the store design was to make the shoe the star and to tell immersive stories that resonate with our consumers.”
